The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is conducting the exams to hire 60,000 Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) and Technicians. This year’s claims to be the largest recruitment drive in the world. The exams which commenced from August 9 are being held in phases, and RRB is releasing the admit cards four days prior the exam. But the online computer-based test (CBT) which was scheduled to be over by August 31 has been extended. Yes, as per latest update, RRB Group C exams will end on September 4, 2018, and the reason is the monstrous floods in Kerala. RRB East Central Railway Announce 1,489 Job Vacancies. 

On the first day, August 9, in Kerala, the exam was cancelled for many candidates, while other could not even make it to attend, due to the disastrous situation at the state after heavy rainfall. Many institutions had to cancel their recruitment exam in Kerala. Taking the plight of flood-affected Kerala candidates, Indian Railways had announced to reschedule the exam, and it will now be held on September 4. On the other hand, RRB is yet to announce Group D exam dates. About 62,907 positions are open, and the exams are speculated to be held on September with a minimum continuation of 45 days. About 1.89 crore applicants have been received by the Indian Railways who will compete to secure Group D jobs.
