RRB 2018 Recruitment: Over 2 Crore Job Applicants Have Registered Online For 1 Lakh Indian Railway Vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Board confirmed that till now it has received over two crore applications for nearly 1 lakh vacancies. The official further revealed that out of 2 crore they have received over 50 lakh online applications alone for assistant loco pilot and technician jobs.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) confirmed that till now it has received over two crore applications for nearly 1 lakh vacancies. There are still four days left as online registration ends on March 31. “Till date, over 2 crore candidates have applied for the posts and the number will rise further as five more days remain before the deadline comes to an end,” reported a Railway Ministry official. Indian Railways will conduct online examinations for hiring candidates for its available 90,000 vacancies in Group C and Group D; and for another 9,500 openings in the Railway Protection Force.

The official further revealed that out of 2 crore they have received over 50 lakh online applications alone for assistant loco pilot and technician jobs. There are 26,502 loco pilot and technician posts and 62,907 Group D posts open for recruitment. To maintain transparency, the candidates will be provided with a window to check their answers after the completion of exams and results declaration. The question papers will be of 15 different languages that includes Hindi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujrati, Kannada Konkani, Assamese, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Tamil and Telugu ensuring equal opportunities to aspirants across India. Those who are yet to apply can visit the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board, indianrailways.gov.in.

For Group D vacancies, the age of the candidates shall be between 18 to 31 years and that of Group C, the age limit is between 18 years to 28 years. However, relaxation in age will be provided as per the government norms.

The examination dates have not been confirmed yet, however reports are making rounds that RRB will host the first stage which is Computer Based Test (CBT) between April to May 2018. The students are recommended to keep an eye on the official website as the examination dates shall be intimated soon after the completion of online applications.
