After your final exams, the sleepless nights and stress are all over, right? It could be true up until about June to July when you realise that result day is just around the corner. Waiting for board/ university exam results can be a nerve-wracking experience. Sometimes the pressure feels worst than actually sitting in the exams. How great would it have been, to get the results may be in a week or two right after the exams? Well if not all of us, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) students are quite in an advantage as they received their results 15 minutes after the completion of their exams. 833 students' results were published on the University's website on the last day of their exam with digital evaluation.

On July 12, candidates were done with their practicals for the Master of Dental Surgery and Diploma in Dentistry Examination. Without any further delay, RGUHS announced their scores in just 15 minutes after the students finished attempting their exams. The results of about 833 students were ready at 5:15 pm and were posted on the university's website at 5:30 pm. While Educational Boards and Universities take their time to make the result announcement to avoid chaos among students, RGUHS adopted digital evaluation to lessen the stress among its candidates. In fact, it proved to be a record for the varsity since it introduced the smart review in May 2015.

Vice Chancellor of RGUHS, S. Sacchidanand was quoted in The Hindu, "Synchronised and coordinated effort made this possible." It was reported that the practical exam started on July 3 across 30 centres in Karnataka and ended on Thursday in nine specialities of MDS and five specialities of dental diploma courses. Students had given the theory exam papers between June 14 and June 22. An MDS student was quoted in the same report,

"Normally, the wait for results is exhausting, and can range from anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months.. This time, we were surprised that the results were announced so quickly."

Both the theory and practical exams were subjected to four evaluations; two internal evaluations and two external evaluations by experts from outside the State. We must say, the initiative is truly amazing! Won't it be great to see if all the state/ central boards and universities follow the same path?
