Railway Recruitment 2018: A two-level selection process will be conducted, involving a computer-based test, followed by an online aptitude test.
New Delhi, Feb 4: In one of the biggest recruitment drive in recent times, the Indian Railways has invited applications for a total of 27,019 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians. Interested candidates can apply online via the Railway Recruitment Board's official website -- rrcb.gov.in. The minimum eligibility requirement is 10th pass. More details will be provided in the weekly journal Employment News (3rd-9th Feb, 2018 edition).
The RRB job notification CEN 01/2018 states March 5, 2018 as the last date for submitting the online applications. In case of changes to be made to the online forms submitted by the candidates, a fees of Rs 250 would be levied. The notification also warns candidates against submitting applications for multiple posts, stating that such candidates would be disqualified and debarred from applying in the future.
A two-level selection process will be conducted, involving a computer-based test, followed by an online aptitude test. Earlier, the examinations used to be conducted in hand-written format. However, the Railway Board abandoned the practise after allegations being floated of exam paper leaks.
The date, time and venue of the tests would be notified by the respective RRBs where the candidates have applied. The RRBs will be releasing multiple merit lists for the selected candidates.
