Railway recruitment 2018 for apprentices: Minimum eligibility requirements

- The aspirant should have completed the minimum age of 15 by January 30, 2018, and should not have crossed the age of 24 by the same date. The upper limit of the age would, however, be relaxed for SC/ST candidates by 5 additional years and OBC candidates by 3 years.

- In terms of educational qualification, the applicant must have completed a minimum of Matric or recognized class 10th examinations, or an equivalent course under the 10+2 examination system, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The applicant must also be a holder of ITI certificate.

The candidates would be selected based upon the aggregate of their Matric marks and the ITI scores. The marks of both the examinations will be given equal weightage i.e. each would add a value of 50% to the candidate's score in the merit list.

The final merit list will be out by February 28.
