The Indian Railways is set to conduct its first ever computer-based test for 26,502 assistant loco pilots and technician vacancies. For the available Group C posts (erstwhile Group D), around 47.56 lakh candidates applied to participate in this recruitment drive. According to an official, the Indian Railways will activate a mock link for the first stage of the computer-based test on July 26.
The candidates will receive information on their exam date, city and session on the same date. In addition, the call letters will be available to students four days before the exam. The candidates can check the official notification on the official website; indianrailways.gov.in. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to conduct in March or April. The notification on the site reads, “Candidates can login with their credentials on the above mentioned dates through the link to be provided on the official websites of RRBs for knowing their exam city, date and session and downloading travel authority (for SC/ST candidates only) and E-call letter.”
Once, the examination is conducted, the shortlisted names will be published on RRB’s website. The exam will be conducted for an hour for general candidate and 80 minutes for the differently-abled aspirants. The question paper will include 75 multiple choice questions, and for every wrong answer, one-third of the total marks on that particular question will be deducted. Railway officials further instructed the students to stay updated with the official website only and not entertain any job racketeers.
