Taking to Twitter on Saturday, the Congress president wrote, "Sreedhanya's hard work and dedication have helped make her dream come true. I congratulate Sreedhanya and her family and wish her great success in her chosen career." As per the UPSC's released list, Sreedhanya bagged the 410th rank in the Civil Services Examination, 2018. A daughter of daily wage labourers Suresh and Kamala - belonging from Kurichiya tribe - is the first woman from the tribal community in the state to clear the All India civil services exams.
The information about Sreedhanya's success was disseminated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who took to Twitter and wrote, "Sreedhanya fought the social backwardness and passed the civil services exam with flying colours. Her achievement will inspire other students in the future."
Even, former chief minister of state Oommen Chandy said she is an inspiration to future generations. He wrote, "Many congratulations to Sreedhanya Suresh as she has battled all odds with hard work and determination to be selected for the Indian Civil Services. She is an inspiration to future generations!"

However, the happiest among them all was Sreedhanya's mother Kamala. Expressing her happiness, she said, "Our happiness is sky high... We stretched to the maximum to ensure that she studies well. We ensured that nothing becomes a barrier for her studies and now her hard work has been rewarded."
