The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released a notification on its official website, pseb.ac.in which confirms that the examination results will be delayed. The Punjab Board will conduct re-exam for class 10 and class 12 students and only for the subjects which were cancelled due to alleged paper leaks. Even the exam dates for class 10 and class 12 clashed; many students had two papers on the same day. Hence, the Punjab Board declared re-examination for its students. As per the official notice, the exam will begin from April 17 and will continue till April 20, 2018.
The re-exam will start from 12:00 pm to 3:15 pm and candidates will have to pay Rs. 100 per subject to appear for the re-examination. Students can visit the official website of PSEB to read the notification which has been given in a detail manner along with the re-exam date sheet for class 10 and class 12. Reports were doing rounds that PSEB will declare the results by April 15. In fact, in an earlier report the Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary reported at a press conference in Punjab Bhawan that the board shall announce the results within 15 days of the completion of the exam.
“The announcement has been made by Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary at a Press Conclave in Punjab Bhawan. Declaring the result within 15 days will not keep students waiting for it; students won't have to mention ‘result awaited’ in the application form for higher education,” reported the Punjab Kesari.
With the recent announcement it is for now confirmed that PSEB is not in any hurry to declare the class 10 and class 12 results for 2018. It is recommended to students to keep visiting the official website of Punjab Board as PSEB will declare the results date soon after the completion of re-exam 2018.
