PSEB Results 2018: Punjab Board Released Class 10th Merit List at pseb.ac.in, 59.47% Pass
The pass percentage for the academic year 2017-18 stood at 59.47 percent. Once again, girls outshine boys in PSEB 2018 result.
After much of speculations regarding the dates of the result announcement, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) released the class 10th merit list on its website, pseb.ac.in on May 8. Students will be able to check their results online today. Looking at the examination ranking, this would be the second year that 40 percent of students who appeared the exam could not clear it. According to the results declared on Tuesday, the pass percentage for the academic year 2017-18 stood at 59.47 percent. Once again, girls outshine boys in PSEB 2018 result. They secured a pass percentage of 70.43 percent over boys who scored 55.48 percent.
Nearly 3,68,295 students sat for the PSEB class 10th exam 2018, out of which only 2,19,034 successfully cleared the exam. In a press statement issued on May 7, PSEB confirmed the result date to be declared on May 9 around. The result is expected to be online for students and their concerned parents at 12:00 pm today. The chairman of PSEB, Monohar Kant Kolahia announced the PSEB class 10 result on May 8, 2018. Reportedly, Gurdaspur student Shriya from Balvidya Mandir High School is the topper with a score of 98.62 percent marks. She has also surpassed in the sports category.
Gurpreet Singh of Shri Harkrishan Sahib Public Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, secured the second position in the state and Jasmeen Kaur of Shishu Model High School, Kapurthala, holds third position with 97.85 percent. The fourth position is shared jointly by Puneet Kaur of Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School, Fatehgarh Sahib and Dolly of Balvidya Mandir High School, Gurdaspur with 97.69 percent. As compared to the previous year, the state has witnessed a slight improvement in PSEB class 10th result. The district-wise details of students have not been released yet. However, PSEB chairman informed to make an overall analysis of the results so that they can work to improve the pass percentage for the coming years.
The students are recommended to keep their calm and visit the website of Punjab board. PSEB is yet to make the results for class 10th live. Here are the steps to check your class Punjab board class 10th results 2018:
1. Visit the official website; pseb.ac.in.
2. On the homepage, you will come across a link that reads—PSEB class 10 results 2018. Click the link.
3. You will be directed to a new page.
4. Enter exam roll number and other required details; click submit.
5. Your PSEB class 10 result will be displayed on the computer screen.
6. Download and take a print out of the same for future preferences.
Apart from the official websites, students can also view their results on indiaresults.com, examresults.net. PSEB conducted class 10th exam from March 12 to March 31, 2018. After the results are out online, the board will handover the hardcopy of the marksheets to its affiliated schools. The PSEB is also expected to announce the supplementary exam dates. The students must keep a tab on the official website as the results will go live soon.
