The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared the 12th result 2019 today, May 11. The board announced the PSEB 12th merit list in a press conference held today at their office, situated in Mohali. According to the official statistics, 86% students qualified the PSEB class 12 board exam 2019. Sarabjyot Singh, Aman and Muskan Soni emerged as Punjab Board Class 12 toppers by jointly securing 98.89%. The PSEB class 12 board results 2019 have improved as compared to last year. In 2018, the pass percentage was 65.97% which has improved to 86% this year. Rural areas have performed better than urban areas, however, this year urban areas have given tough competition to students from rural areas, as stated by the PSEB officials. Apart from PSEB site, the students will also be able to check their scores online on private and other third-party web portals such as examresults.net. Since, the last couple of years, PSEB has been maintaining the practise of announcing the Punjab Board result data, a day prior to the publishing of scores online. On May 8, Punjab board class 10 result 2019 was announced, and 85.56% students registered as pass percentage in the examination this year.

To pass the Punjab PSEB 12th board exam, a student will have to score 33 per cent marks in each subject as well as aggregate. In 2018, PSEB had abolished “marks moderation system” which allowed for grace marks to be allotted to students in order to improve their final score.
Puja Joshi, from Ludhiana became the PSEB class 12 board exam 2018 topper, with a score of 98%, while Vivek Rajput secured second rank with 97.55% marks. The overall pass percentage last year for class 12 students stood as 65.97%.
