NEET UG Admissions 2018: MCC to Begin First-round of Counselling Today; Here are All Important Dates

The six-day first round of counselling process for 15 percent candidates under All India Quota (AIQ) will be conducted from June 13 to June 18, 2018.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin with the procedure to counsel for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET), Undergraduate (UG), 2018 from today, June 13. Candidates can begin with their registration visiting the official website of MCC; mcc.nic.in. According to the notification uploaded on the official website of MCC; the six-day first round of counselling process for 15 percent candidates under All India Quota (AIQ) will be conducted from June 13 to June 18, 2018. Again, the three-day second round counselling will be held between July 6 to July 8.

Those who have scored a minimum of 50 percent under general category; 40 percent for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and 45 percent for General Physically Handicap in NEET 2018 will have to register separately to participate in the NEET counselling 2018 seat allotment process. The payment facility for the first-round counselling will be available till June 19, 12:00 pm while for the second round, NEET 2018 candidates will be able to pay till July 9, up to 12:00 noon. Aspirants can fill and lock their choice for first round of counselling on June 19; from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

MCC will commence their seat allotment process on from June 20 till June 21. The results for the first-round counselling will be announced on June 22 and the NEET candidates can report to their allotted colleges from June 23 to July 3, 2018. Once the two-round counselling procedure is done, MCC will conduct the mop-up round from August 12. Based on the All India Rank (AIR) or merit lists, the candidates will be invited for admissions to various reputed medical institutes. NEET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) across the country and the results were announced on June 4. Around 7.14 lakh candidates have successfully crossed the cut-off marks.
