The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the most coveted National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on May 5, 2019. Ahead of the examination, the conducting body NTA has notified the dress code and other important guidelines that are to be followed on NEET 2019 exam day. While issuing the notification online, NTA stated that the candidates would be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking before entering the exam centre with the help of highly sensitive metal detectors. JEE Advanced 2019 Online Registration Begins. 

NEET 2019 Exam Day Dress Code

  • Candidates should wear light clothes, and full sleeved clothes should be avoided.
  • NEET 2019 candidates must report an hour before the reporting time to allow for proper checking.
  • Candidates are asked to avoid wearing shoes and instead wear slippers or sandals with low heels.
  • Since kurta pyjama is not allowed, male candidates are advised to wear trouser.
  • Girls should avoid wearing clothes with embroidery, flowers, brooches or buttons.
  • For female candidates, NTA suggested salwars and trousers on the exam day.
  • No jewellery such as earrings, ring, pendants, nose ring, necklace or any kind of metallic items is allowed.
  • Any candidates who have opted for customary dresses are advised to report to the NEET exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time.
  • Goggles, wristwatch, bracelet or any other ornaments have also been listed among the barred items along with gadgets and stationaries like a pen, scale, writing pad, eraser, calculators, etc.
  • Diabetic students are allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/ fruits and transparent water bottle to the NEET examination 2019 hall. Packed food or chocolates are not permitted.

NTA has also changed NEET 2019 exam centres for a few states because of upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The candidates have been notified for the same through email, SMS, voice message and local newspapers of the concerned states. All NEET 2019 candidates are advised to check if their exam centre has been changed and download the newly-issued NTA NEET admit card for UG examination.
