NEET 2019: Karnataka Students Who Missed Exams Due to Train Delay to Get Another Chance, Says Prakash Javadekar

The NTA (National Testing Agency), which conducts the NEET, for medical and dental courses in colleges across the country, has announced that exam centres will remain the same. "Happy to announce that #Karnataka Students who missed #NEET exam, due to railway delay will get another chance," the minister has tweeted. The Human Resource Development Ministry had earlier assured the Karnataka government that it would soon take action on their request to allow the students to write it again, the Chief Ministers office (CMO) said on Monday. On Sunday, hundreds of students from North Karnataka districts had missed the NEET exam held in Bengaluru due to 7-hour delay of Hampi Express. Karnataka CM H D Kumaraswamy had requested to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Railways Minister Piyush Goyal and the HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar to intervene into the matter and ensure that students who have missed the exam will get another chance to write the NEET 2019.
The affected students had taken their complaint to Twitter and demanded re-examination. Based on which, Kumaraswamy requested the concerned ministers.
