New Delhi, November 29: The Supreme Court on Thursday extended the deadline for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 application by a week in an interim relief for students who were yet to apply due to age limit issues. The apex court today allowed students who are 25 years of age or above to appear in NEET UG exam 2019, but added that “their admission will be subject to the final outcome of the case on validity of CBSE decision to fix upper age limit." The NEET 2018 application was opened online on November 1 and the previous deadline was November 30.

Earlier this year, there was speculation that NEET would be conducted online and twice in a year from 2019 to make it more transparent for the aspirants as not all can make the grade at once. The admit card will be issued online on April 15 next year. The examination, across the nation, will be held on May 5, 2019 and the results will be out on June 5, 2019.
