Kalpana Kumari secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in CBSE NEET 2018 scoring 99.99 percentage. In Physics, she has obtained 171 out of 180, 160 out of 180 in Chemistry and a full score of 360/360 in Biology (Biology and Zoology). Her overall score is 691 out of 720.
The cut-off for admissions into various MBBS and BDS courses in medical institutions reduces than last year's. 7.14 lakh candidates have qualified with minimum cut off 96. For general category candidates; the cut-off is 119 out of total 720 while last year the cut off stood at 131. For SC, ST and OBC candidates, the cut-off is 96 and ranges up to 118. The cut off for differently abled candidates under general category ranges from 107 to 118 and for unreserved categories, it is 96 to 106.

This year, CBSE underwent with lot of controversies while conducting NEET 2018 exams. Over 1,000 students from Tamil Nadu had to travel to nearby states to write the exam due to lack of exam centres at the state. Again, West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee alleged irregularities as at many test centres in the state students did not receive question papers in their regional language on time.

The cut off marks for students under general category is 50th percentile, for SC/ST/OBC it is 40th percentile and physically handicapped candidates, they must score 45th percentile to secure admissions at their desiring medical institutes.

Over 13 lakh medical aspirants are waiting for their National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) results which was conducted on May 6, 2018. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the NEET 2018 results today, June 4 on its official website; cbseneet.nic.in. Secretary of Human Resource Development (HRD) tweeted that CBSE has informed NEET results to be released today. Students who have appeared in this medical entrance test, can check their scores online with the help of their roll number available on NEET admit card. However, the results time has not been confirmed by the official yet. CBSE will prepare the merit list as per the directives of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI).
NEET 2018 answer keys were released by CBSE on May 25 and all the candidates were given a time frame which was till May 27 if they want to raise objections on the answer key/ OMR sheet/ test booklet code. From this year, it has been decided that students who wants to pursue Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) courses will have to undergo NEET.

In an earlier official notification available on NEET’s website reads; “As soon as the result is ready, CBSE will host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Sheets.” Reports were doing rounds that CBSE will announce NEET results tomorrow. With Anil Swarup's tweet, it is confirmed that the results will be out today and candidates are recommended to keep a tab on the official website of CBSE NEET.
Once declared, the officials will activate their results link on the official CBSE NEET website. To know their NEET results 2018 online, students will have to provide their registration number and date of birth as given in their admit card. The results will be displayed on the computer screen after submitting the above details. On the basis of NEET results 2018, CBSE will release separate rank letters and an all-India merit list. Students under General category have to score 50 percent and under other reserved categories, they must secure 40 percent in order to get admissions to the medical institutions they desire.
