National Teachers' Award 2023 Full List of Winners: Names of Educators Who Received Prestigious Honour on Teachers' Day

Notably, all the awardee teachers came from diverse educational backgrounds. A total of 50 teachers from schools, 13 from higher education, and 12 from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship were awarded the National Teachers' Award 2023.

Mumbai, September 5: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday conferred the National Teachers' Award 2023 to 75 selected awardees in Delhi. President Murmu conferred the prestigious award to 75 awardees in the national capital on the occasion of Teachers' Day 2023. Today, September 5 is celebrated as Teachers' Day. Speaking at the event, President Droupadi Murmu said that when teachers appreciate or encourage or punish, students remember everything.

"If they are punished to improve them, students realise it with time. So, I believe that giving them love is more important than giving them education...Our Education Policy gives priority to connecting with Indian culture and pride," President Murmu said.
