National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2018 Date: NEET Scheduled for May 6

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) date. NEET will be conducted on May 6, 2018. The online application forms are expected to be declared soon on its official website cbseneet.nic.in. However, the latest update states that NEET applications are likely to release by January 31, 2018.

Further putting an end to the speculations by students and their concerned parents and teachers, CBSE has confirmed that NEET syllabus will not undergo any revision. The notification in the official website of NEET stated that, “The syllabus of NEET (UG), 2018 will exactly be the same as it was for NEET (UG), 2017. There is no change in the syllabus for NEET (UG), 2018”. This clarification was notified after the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Prakash Javadekar reported to take the State Board Syllabi into consideration for NEET 2018.

NEET 2018 is an all India entrance examination which is conducted by CBSE for candidates who seeks to take admissions to all undergraduate medical and dental courses in the country. All medical aspirants will have to visit the official website of NEET to fill in the application form since there is no facility for the offline mode. Sources further claim that the results are likely to release by 1st June 2018 followed by the counselling in August 2018. Admissions would be on the basis of the marks obtained by the students in NEET.

Last year, NEET was conducted on April 5. All the students and parents are advised to go through the eligibility criteria, documents required, and other related queries answered in the section of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). It is also important to note that since 2017, CBSE has made aadhar cards mandatory for all examinations which are conducted by the board. The students are advised to keep it ready and those who do not have an aadhar card are recommended to apply for it.
