Mumbai University has released an important notification for all its candidates. According to the notice, the University has extended the examination dates for 30 papers right during the end of the semesters. The authorities have announced the same on April 7 which includes Master of Science (M.Sc.) Forensic Science and Master of Arts (MA) Semester I-II papers. As per the recent schedule, M.Sc. Forensic Science will be held on June 4 and MA Semester I-II examinations on May 21. On the other hand, the Mumbai University has failed to announce results of 45 exams which were held in November-December 2017.
The Law department has been affected as most of its exams are postponed. The President of the MU Students Law Council, Sachin Pawar told The Hindu, “We have demanded that the MU stop the online assessment since this has led to the collapse of the examination system. Last year, we adjusted, but this year, we will not relent. Why should careers of students suffer due to the inefficiency of the MU?” The online evaluation was implemented from the academic year last year which resulted in a considerable delay of the results.
The examinations were earlier scheduled to be held from April 16 to June 4, which will now take place at different examination centres on different dates. It has also been informed that the MU results for 45 examinations that took place last year in November-December will be declared soon on the official website. Again, Semester V repeaters under MU shall sit for the exam on April 18, 2018.
