Mumbai, February 20:  The University of Mumbai has declared the results for Bachelors of Commerce (B. COM) semester 5 and semester 6. The results for the three year integrated Commerce course was declared on February 19, Monday evening. The University had also declared the result for Bachelor of Science (B.SC) course and Bachelor of Science- Information Technology (BSC-IT) on 18 February. Students of self-financing courses have still been waiting for their results. It is expected that their results will be declared soon.

Students wanting to check their result can visit the Mumbai University website mu.ac.in/results and check their scores. However, the University website has been slow and it may take time to load the result page.

The results of this semester comes after the University of Mumbai delayed last years' results by more than two months. There was a huge uproar over the unprecedented delay in results which even lead to the Vice Chancellor (VC) sent on a forced leave by the university management.

Many students had to let go of their chance to study abroad due to the university not declaring results on time. After the delay, they were reports of answer sheets of students missing and later it was found out that some papers had indeed gone missing. The delay in declaring results was attributed to online assessment that Mumbai University introduced in the year 2017. The University VC had taken the bold move to transfer assessment from offline mode to online mode but academia and students alleged that it was done in haste and that the university was not really ready for the change.

It remains to be seen if Mumbai University will be able to adopt and implement the online assessment system effectively in the future. For now, they have managed to publish second half results after delay. For now, the students can check their results on mu.ac.in/results. All the best.
