The exam pattern of providing students with a different set of papers for all subject in a classroom was introduced a few years ago by MSBSHSE to prevent copying in the exam hall. In one classroom, the SSC candidates were given four sets of question papers for mathematics, second and third languages. The difficulty level of all the sets was pretty same. This process helped the teachers to stop the students copying the answers from each other. However, from 2019, the practise will not be followed anymore. The reason being in a circular as quoted by TOI, “In the new syllabus, the papers will be based on a student's understanding of the topic, personal views and interaction in a classroom. Answers are not dependent on the basis of rote learning the content in textbooks. Hence, there is no scope for students to copy from each other.” But it must be noted that the old practise will continue for MSBSHSE class 12 students.
The Maharashtra State Board has released the board exam 2019 timetable. Class 10 students will appear for the revised syllabus. The HSC board examination, on the other hand, is scheduled to be conducted from February 21 and end on March 20.
