The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has invited applicants to apply for several posts in the commission. According to the official notification, the online application has begun for 547 Group B posts. The online application procedure will end on July 27, and the interested candidates can apply online at mpsc.gov.in. MPSC is looking for eligible candidates to fill 387 Police Sub-Inspector, 126 Assistant Section Officer and 34 Tax Inspector posts. The applicants will be selected based on a written test.
Candidates who are graduates in the relevant discipline and also have a Degree of Statutory Trust from a recognised institute can sit for this exam. Before applying to the available posts, the aspirants must go through the detailed notification which has mentioned the eligibility criteria. For candidates under General or Other Background Class (OBC) must pat Rs. 524, while other reserved category candidates should pay Rs. 324 as an application fee through offline mode using E-challan or an online method using net banking, credit or debit card.
The candidates will have to sit for two papers and based on their scores they will be allotted for the positions. Paper 1 will be standard for all posts which are scheduled to be held on August 26 in Nagpur, Aurangabad, Pune and Mumbai. On the other hand, Paper 2 will be conducted by the commission on September 2 for Police Sub Inspector posts and Tax Inspector, it will be held on September 30. For Section Officer posts, candidates will write the exam on October 6.
