The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducted the Grade B recruitment exam on August 16 at various centres across India. But due to the devastating situation in Kerala, many aspirants and even political leaders requested all the institutes to cancel the exam in the state. But RBI continued with the exams, but many students in Kerala could not appear. After facing much backlash for ignoring the disaster suffered by the state’s candidates, RBI had decided to once again conduct the exams for direct recruitment Grade B officers in Kerala. The fresh date of the re-schedule of the exam will be announced by the conducting body shortly. RBI Celebrates Its 83rd Foundation Day on April 1, 2018: Know History & Facts About India's Central Bank.

On August 16, RBI services board had hosted the phase 1 of examination. Attendance in some centres at Kerala was very low. In light of the condition at the state, RBI notified, “The board has decided to conduct another examination at a few centres in selected cities in Kerala for the benefit of the candidates who could not appear in the examination held on August 16 due in the flood-ravaged state. The date of examination will be announced shortly once the logistic arrangements for conduct of the examination are in place.”

It is important to note that, the candidates who have already appeared in the August 16th exam are not eligible to re-appear. This development signifies a delay in the declaration of the results of RBI Grade B Recruitment Phase 1 exam. The same will be released only after the re-exam for Kerala candidates is conducted successfully. Besides, RBI has also notified that the Phase II/ Phase II and II which were to be held on September 6 and 7, will now be rescheduled and the candidates must ensure their readiness at short notice.
