The Karnataka Pre-University Commission (PUC) released its supplementary examination results 2018 today on the official websites; pue.kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in. Reportedly, around 28.3 per cent repeaters cleared the PU exams after the results were declared by the Directorate of Pre-University Education Board. It is important to note that the results will be available to colleges tomorrow, July 27. 31.2 per cent girls have cleared in the PUC supplementary exams 2018 and among boys 26.31 per cent qualified for higher studies.

According to PUC examination board, the evaluation procedure was completed on July 18 and the marks obtained by the students have been gathered too. The commission also informed that the last date for application to get the scanned copy of answer sheets is July 30. To those who applied for a re-evaluation online should note that the last date of retotalling is August 4. Last year, the supplementary results were released on July 26.

The annual exam results were released on April 30. About 6.90 lakh students sat for the PUC 2nd exam which were held between March 1 to 17. The PUC supplementary examinations 2018 began from June 29 till July 10. This year, 68 PU colleges witnessed a 100 per cent passing while on the other hand in 118 colleges, none of the students qualified in the exams.

The pass percentage reportedly improved. Last year, 52.38 per cent students passed the exam while this year 59.56 per cent qualified for higher studies. Those who could not clear the regular exams participated in the supplementary examinations 2018. To check the scores online, candidates will require their registration number, date of birth and other details as mentioned on the hall tickets.
