JKBOSE Released 2018 Date Sheet! Class 10, 11, 12 Students Unhappy; Demands Postponement of Exams to November

The candidates had earlier requested the board to delay the exams by a few weeks to November so that they could compensate for the loss of nearly a month of academic session to protests during the summer this year.

After much speculations, the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the date sheet for class 10, class 11 and class 12 winter zone candidates. According to the timetable, the exams will begin by the end of October 2018. However, the schedule has made the students unhappy following which they have threatened to take their demand of postponing the exams to the streets. As per the local reports, the candidates had earlier requested the board to delay the exams by a few weeks to November so that they could compensate for the loss of nearly a month of academic session to protests during the summer this year. JKBOSE Date Sheet 2018 for Class 10th, 11th & 12th Winter Zone Released Online! 

On September 26, the Jammu and Kashmir educational board circulated the data sheet to all its affiliated schools regarding the exams for class 10, 11 and 12 and decided to hold the exams from the last week of October. This has outraged the students. Syed Faheem, a class 12th student of Srinagar, said, “The government is playing with the career of thousands of students by holding exams from November because our syllabus has not been completed in schools.” The local media outlets further suggested that the Greater Kashmir received scores of phone calls and emails from students who demanded a delay of exams till the second week of November citing non-completion of the syllabus in schools. JKBOSE Class 10 & 12 Date Sheet on Social Media Is Fake!

The students further accused the government of putting students in despair for holding the civic body polls as per their own convenience. Some even threatened to commit suicide if the government do not postpone their exams to mid-November. The Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) had earlier requested to the secretary JKBOSE to delay the exams as students did not get the suitable number of working days in schools due to law and order situation in the state. On the other hand, the board officials have said that they cannot change the exam date and the timetable is the final one.
