The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) scheduled to conduct the English exam for class 12 students on October 22. But as per the latest update, the board is considering a postponement in the examination date sheet. Now, class 12 English paper will be conducted on November 2, 2018, and the students in Jammu and Kashmir are unhappy. They are so furious about the rescheduling that reportedly, they have initiated a protest against JKBOSE. The concern for the students is that there is no proper preparation gap between important papers. JKBOSE class 12 candidates are demanding a considerable day leave between the paper of additional subject. A class 12 science student in a local media report was quoted as saying, “They are giving the single day off for the exam. Not just students, but the teachers are also not happy with the postponement. Asima Hameed, a science teacher from Srinagar, said, “It will be hectic for students to revise the subject within a day. There should be at least a four-day gap to study all the chapters.” On the other hand, one of the students while speaking to the Press Trust of Kashmir claimed to commit suicide. Meanwhile, the JKBOSE chairman, Veena Pandita said that “it’s not possible to make any kind of change in date sheet, students should adjust now.”
