The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) has once again changed the board exam 2019 dates for the Kashmir zone reportedly due to curfew in the region. According to the new schedule, General English paper, which was rescheduled on March 3, will now be conducted on March 25 and the Geography exam which was to be held on February 23 and has now been postponed to March 22, 2019. All the candidates must note that the changes of exam dates are for class 12 Jammu division, summer zone only. While the remaining JKBOSE board exams 2019 will go as per the earlier date sheet which is available on the board’s website; jkbose.ac.in.

JKBOSE released a notification which reads, “25-02-2019, it is notified for information of all the concerned that the examination of General English Subject pertaining to Higher Secondary Part-II (Class-12th) Regular Annual Session 2019 (Summer Zone) Jammu Division, that was re-scheduled for 03-3-2019 (Sunday), has been postponed and shall now be held on 25-03-2019 (Monday) instead of 03-3-2019.” The notice further stated that the time and venue should remain the same. JKBOSE Class 10 Timetable 2019 for Jammu Division. 

As per media reports, curfew was fastened in the town following violence during Jammu bandh which was called by the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry to protest the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in a terror attack in Pulwama. Due to this reason, the JKBOSE had to cancel and reschedule the board exam 2019 for class 12. Earlier the examinations which were to be concluded by March 18, now it has been extended till March 22, 2019.

The JKBOSE practical examinations 2019, in all the concerned subjects have begun on February 1. All the heads of the government/ private institutions of Jammu province summer zone areas have been instructed to collect the admit cards of their candidates from the concerned BOSE office sooner to avoid any last-minute hustle. Besides, the JKBOSE board candidates are prohibited from carrying any material such as electronic gadgets like mobile phone, headphone, etc. which can indulge them in any means of unfair during the board examinations.
