JEE Main Results 2018 Declared By CBSE: 2.31 Lakh Students Qualify, 74 Cut-Off For General Candidates

Over 14 lakh students had attempted the JEE-Main exam held in May, 2018. The marks are critical to the future of students aspiring to enroll for various engineering and technical courses.

New Delhi, April 30: The Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) results were declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday. Out of 11,35,084 students who registered, 2,31,024 have qualified. The cut-off marks for general category candidates was 74, followed by 45 for OBC, 29 for those hailing from the Schedule Castes and 24 for the Scheduled Tribe candidates. The results could be accessed online at the Board's official website -  cbseresults.nic.inApart from visiting the sites mentioned above to check the score, the candidates can also view the result directly at GoogleHere's how.

The JEE-Main exam offline was held on April 5, 2018. The online tests were conducted in two batches on April 15 and 16. The marks are critical to the future of students aspiring to enroll for various engineering and technical courses. The JEE-Main examination results are also considered for eligibility for the premier courses at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Central Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).

How to Check JEE Main Examinations, 2018 Results Online?

- Visit the official CBSE results portal - cbseresults.nic.in. In case the official site is down, the students can also check their marks via results.nic.in or jeemain.nic.in.

- On the page which appears, click on the ‘JEE Main Exam’ notification. In the subsequent window, the candidate needs to enter his name, roll number and other registered details in the respective fields.

- After filling the mandatory details, click on the submit button. In the next page which appears, the JEE Main score will be displayed.

Candidates are recommended to take a screenshot or download the PDF copy of the result for interim use.
