The second session of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2019 is scheduled to be held from April 7 to April 12, at various exam centres across the nation. After postponing the exam dates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main 2019 April session admit card for all the candidates who successfully submitted the online applications. Students who are participating in the second edition of JEE Main 2019, can download the hall tickets from the official website; jeemain.nic.in. Apart from carrying the JEE Main 2019 admit card, there are other important documents as well which shall be carried on the day of the examination.
On the JEE Main 2019 admit card, engineering aspirants will be able to check the details such as exam date, time and venue. The three-hours entrance examination will be conducted online for both JEE Main Paper 1 (admission to engineering courses) and Paper 2 (admission to architecture courses). NTA will hold JEE Man in two shifts—morning from 9:30 am and afternoon from 2:30 pm. Below is the list of other essential documents that candidates must carry on JEE Main 2019 exam day.
JEE Main 2019 April Exam: Documents to Carry
1. A coloured A4 sized print out of JEE Main 2019 admit card.
2. An original and photocopy of identity proof such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card, etc. which have a clear photo of the candidate shall be carried.
3. One passport size photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet at the JEE Main 2019 exam centre. Note that the passport photo should be the same as the one uploaded with the online application form.
Apart from these two documents, candidates are not supposed to carry any other things along with them. If in case they are found with other materials, they will be barred from appearing in JEE Main 2019 April exam. Besides, students participating in JEE Main 2019 paper 2, should carry a geometry box.
The official notification of the JEE Main 2019 entrance exam reads, “Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, Calculators, Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, and Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, and bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device, except the Admit Card (& Geometry Box for paper-2) inside the Examination Room/Hall.”
JEE Main 2019 was earlier scheduled to be held from April 7 to April 20. However, due to General Elections, NTA had to revise the exam date sheet for the smooth conducting of the entrance examination. JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 will consist of objective type questions, and JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 will have mathematics and aptitude section as an objective type. Meanwhile, IIT Roorkee has also changed the JEE Advanced exam 2019 dates because of Lok Sabha Elections. The exam will now be conducted on May 27.
