New Delhi, August 22: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced dates for the JEE Main to be held in January and April 2020. In a schedule released on August 21, the NTA said the JEE Main will be held from January 6 to 11, 2020. The JEE Main’s April exams will go on from 9 to 13. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is held to secure admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture colleges across the country.

According to the schedule released by the NTA, the application process for the JEE Main 2020 (January session) will begin from September 2. Students can apply at jeemain.nic.in or nta.ac.in. The last date for applying is September 30 and the admit cards will be available for download on December 6. The registration for the April session can be done between February 7 to March 7, 2020. The admit cards will be available for download from March 16 and the JEE Main result will be out on April 30. Around 10 lakh are expected to appear for JEE Main 2020. According to the NTA, a total of 9,29,198 students registered for the JEE Main in January last year and 9,35,741 students appeared for the entrance test in April session. JEE Main April 2019 Result Declared: Know Next Steps, Check Cut-Off Marks & NTA Toppers’ List Here.

After conducting the JEE Main 2020 (both January and April session), the NTA will release a consolidated rank list. Those who will secure a rank in top 2,45,000 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, which is entrance gateway for admission into the IITs.
