After the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 dates, many coveted exams were clashing with its schedule, and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) was one of them. Due to the general elections, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the JEE Main 2019 exam. According to the earlier date sheet, the NTA JEE Main 2019 exam was to be held from April 7 to 20. JEE Main 2019 Paper 2- B. Arch/ B. Planning will be held on April 7, but Paper 1 (B. E/ B.Tech) will be conducted on April 8, 9, 10 and 12. The revised date sheet for JEE Main 2019 is available online at jeemain.nic.in. As per ECI, the poll dates are April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19, 2019. Keeping the Lok Sabha Election 2019 in mind, NTA rescheduled the JEE Main exam dates. Besides, NTA will release the JEE Main 2019 admit card on March 20 for candidates to download the same online. The national entrance exam will be conducted in an online, computer-based mode only, except for the drawing test for Paper 2, which will be held offline. Paper 1 will consist of objective type questions, and Paper 2 will have mathematics and aptitude section as an objective type. The change of JEE Main 2019 exam dates has been notified through a public notice on March 13.
JEE Advanced 2019 timetable is also clashing with the Lok Sabha Elections. Reports suggest that IIT Roorkee is planning to reschedule and announce the new dates soon. However, no such official confirmation has been made yet. IIT Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced 2019 exam on May 19, 2019.
