The Indian government has come up with an exciting contest for Indian Railways in which people have a chance to win Rs. 10 lakhs. Yes, you read that right! It is a known fact that many of you resent the services of Indian Railways and want to do something about the situation instead of just being upset. Here comes a great opportunity. All you need to do, is send a strong solution to the government and if it is practicable, then you will be paid a handsome amount. The name of the public competition is, “How to raise money for Railways to provide better Services (Jan Bhagidari).”

The ultimate goal is to encourage refine ideas and put great strategies to work. 1. Visit the website, innovative.mygov.in.

2. Read the information given on the page carefully before applying for the contest.

3. You will find a link at the end of the page that states—click here to participate.

4. Fill in all the required details in the participation registration form and entry submission form.

5. Once you successfully submit it, the participants will receive a confirmation email.

6. You will be contacted by the Indian Railways with the contact details that you provide at the time of registration.

First Prize— Rs. 10 Lacs

Second Prize— Rs. 5 Lacs

Third Prize— Rs. 3 Lacs

Fourth Prize— Rs. 1 Lacs

Entries duly completed and fully filled must be submitted using the online application system before 6pm on 19th May 2018.

Guidelines for the Entries:

1. The write up should either be submitted in Hindi or English.

2. In case submission is in any other language, it must be accompanied with translation in either Hindi or English.

3. It could be an individual project or a team project. However, in case of team, the total team members, including the team leader, should not exceed six.

4. No reference of the identity of the person(s) submitting should be made in the proposal. If done so, it shall lead to the entry getting rejected.

5. It is strongly advised not to wait till the closure time for submission of entries. Railways shall not be responsible for late/ non-receipt of entries on account of server errors/ traffic.

6. The contestants may be asked to present/ elaborate their ideas before an appropriate jury.

7. Railways may decide to associate with the proposer for further development of the proposed Concept/ Idea.

8. The decision of the Evaluation Panel and Jury will be final. No communication will be entered with any person in relation to any decision of the panel or process.

9. Unsuccessful entries shall be intimated through email and Ministry of Railways shall not have any right over the same.

The competition is open to individuals and companies or institutions. The participants are required to be at least 18 years of age. The evaluation of the entries will be carried out in three stages. In the first stage, 50 entries will be shortlisted after evaluation. And the 50 shortlisted entries will be further evaluated by an expert panel on second stage for selection 10 most promising ideas. The final 10 ideas will be presented to Competition Committee which is formed by the Ministry for consideration of Awards. So, what are you waiting for?
