IIT Madras Ranks First in National Ranking of Higher Institutes, JNU Slips to 7th Position
The Ministry of Human Resource Development on Monday released the list of national ranking of higher institutes, placing Indian Institute of Technology Madras at the top.
New Delhi, April 8: The Ministry of Human Resource Development on Monday released the list of national ranking of higher institutes, placing Indian Institute of Technology Madras at the top. According to the list, IIT Madras bagged the first place, while Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi slipped to the seventh position.
Among the other significant institutes featured in the list include All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which ranks first among the medical sciences institutes and National Law School, Bangalore, tops the list for law colleges. JNU Sedition Case: Court Adjourns the Case Till July 23.
Also, Jamia Hamdard, based out of Delhi, is the best pharmacy institute, and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore is the first among management institutes.

Meanwhile, Delhi University's Miranda House gets the top spot; while St Stephen's is at the fourth spot in the national ranking of colleges.
