New Delhi, June 10: The results of IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Advanced was declared by IIT-Kanpur on Sunday. Over 1.6 lakh students who appeared for the examinations can now check their scores at results.jeeadv.ac.in. Pranav Goyal from Roorkee zone has been declared the All-India topper, whereas, Meenal Parakh, who secured the All-India sixth rank, is the topper among girls.

The 23 IITs across the nation this year are offering a total of 11,279 seats for admission. The selection would be made based upon the marks secured by the candidates in the JEE Advanced.

The seat-choosing process will begin from June 15. Candidates will have to fill-up their choice of IIT centre, along with the academic programs they prefer on first-basis to get enrolled into. Candidates will also have to appear for counselling sessions offered by the IIT to make a calculated choice.

Candidates can start submitting their choice of seats and academic programs from June 18. While June 24 is the last date for submission, students can rectify their choices on June 25.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will make the first list on admissions public on June 27. The JEE has launched a new portal - jossa.nic.in - where candidates can check the latest update. The seat allocation process is scheduled to be concluded by July 18.
