New Delhi, September 27: According to the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World Rankings show, IIT Indore has managed to secure a place among the top 400 global universities. As per a report on the Print, the institute applied for the first time this year, and has earned the recognition by scoring 351-400 category in the world rankings. NIRF Rankings 2018: Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Miranda House Awarded Best University and College by HRD Ministry.
IISc Bangalore has emerged as the topmost institution from India this year, retaining its spot in the 251-300 band. Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University, Mysuru is among the top 5 Indian universities and top 500 global universities.
Talking about the global universities, Oxford University has topped the list owing to its extensive research volume and reputation. It is followed by Cambridge University and Stanford, who have retained their last year's position. India has increased its presence as being the most represented nation as compared to last year.
