The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK) has completed its final placements this year with an impressive record. A student has been offered a whooping Rs. 52 lakh per annum while the average salary has been 17.76 lakh per annum. Out of 382 students in the graduating batch of 2018, 367 of them secured offer from reputed companies. The IIM-K informed in a press release that 11 students opted to sign out of the placement procedure while remaining four could not secure placement.
The 20th Annual convocation of the premier institute will take place on April 7, 2018 where one of the popular global management consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group, Chairman, Asia-Pacific Region, Dr. Janmejaya Sinha will be the chief guest. As per media reports, there has been 58 percent increase from the previous year, as this time a total of 178 companies participated in the placement procedure. Nearly 75 companies were first-time recruiters that included Arthur D Little, Avendus Capital, Axis Securities, Bharat Forge, Britannia, Casio, Crompton Greaves, GMR Group, Optum—UHG, RBL Bank and Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
The press release further stated that nearly 26 percent students got placement in consulting companies in diverse roles where the major recruiters has been Boston Consulting Group, Cedar Consulting, Cognizant Business Consulting, Deloitte, EY, IMC, KPMG and PwC.
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is a public business school located in Kozhikode, Kerala. The Institute was set up in 1996 by the Indian Government in collaboration with the Kerala State Government and it is one of the 20 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and the fifth one to be established.
