IIM Calcutta Witness 100% Summer Placements! Above 120 Prominent Companies Participated in the Process for Class of 2020

Prominent names recruiting from IIM Calcutta campus this time were Bank of America Merill Lynch, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta wrapped up their summer placements. Yet again, the institute witnessed an outstanding 100 per cent placement record for the Class of 2020 with more than 120 companies participating in the process. According to IIM Calcutta, there were about 458 candidates who had opted for the Summer Internship in the 55th batch. The process was concluded a little over two days. Summer Internship is a mandatory part of the curriculum of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course at IIM Calcutta. It allows students to gain exposure to various opportunities in the corporate before they make any final career choice. The mentoring from the second-year students in the months before this process is the outstanding experience of the summer internship process. Other famous names recruiting from IIM Calcutta campus this time were Bank of America Merill Lynch, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs. Further, the institute reported that Boston Consulting Group made the maximum number of offers in the sector while others like McKinsey & Co., Bain & Co., A.T. Conglomerates such as Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Administrative Services, Reliance, RPG, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, JSW offered leadership roles, with the Aditya Birla Group making the highest number of preferences from IIM Calcutta. The institute also welcomed 10 per cent of the recruiters who were first-timers. Boehringer Ingelheim, Byju’s, Grofers, Kimberly Clark, PhonePe, Salesforce, Stryker were the new recruiters. While several firms offered international internships.
