The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has recently announced the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018. Based on the scores, top business schools in the nation will release their cut-off list and the remaining procedure for the final selection of the candidates for the batch of 2019-21 Master of Business Administration (MBA) and other Post Graduate Programmes (PGP). IIM Calcutta released official statement for shortlisting 1,990 candidates based on CAT 2018 scores for further rounds of interview with the percentage of females approximately 43. IIM Calcutta conducted the CAT 2018 examination in November last year and announced the results on January 5 at their official website; iimcat.ac.in. Eleven candidates have been declared to score full 100 percentile in the exam, all engineering/ technology graduates. As reported by Careers 360, IIM Calcutta has also selected one transgender candidate for further admission procedure. As per the official release, the number of male candidates appeared in the CAT 2018 exam was 1,360,75; female candidates were 73,326 and four transgender candidates. CAT 2018 was conducted in two shifts on November 25. Now that IIM Calcutta has released their shortlisted candidates, it is time for the remaining institutes to publish their shortlist for further selection process considering CAT score and other mentioned criteria. Above 100 other non-IIM institutes will use CAT 2018 score for admission to their MBA and other management programmes for the upcoming batch.
