New Delhi, October 23: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme admission process for January 2019 batch has begun. Interested candidates can submit their application at onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission/ till November 15, 2018 and the entrance exams are scheduled to take place in December 2018. Admissions would be fully based on the eligibility criteria and on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam. The B.Ed program of IGNOU is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education and the course is offered in two languages- English and Hindi. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who are willing to join the course must have at least 50 percent marks in Bachelors degree or in Masters degree in Science/Humanity/Commerce. Bachelors in Engineering/ Information Technology with specialisation in mathematics and science should have at least 55 percent marks or equivalent qualifications.
A candidate who has cleared the entrance test and submitted all the required documents is eligible for the programme. For SC/ST/OBC there is a relaxation of 5 percent marks which marks the minimum eligibility for marks. The war widow candidates and Kashmiris migrants will also be provided reservation as per university rules.
