The Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI) has announced changes in the CA examination exam pattern, which are slated to be conducted in May 2019 and onwards. On its official website; icai.org, ICAI has listed some papers from the CA Intermediate (New and IPC) and Final (New and Old) courses and notified that all those papers would have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to the tune of 30 per cent marks. This year, ICAI CA exams due to held between May 2 to May 17, has been rescheduled because of the 17th Lok Sabha Elections and the CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final examinations will be held from May 27 to June 12, 2019. The CA examinations will be conducted at 144 exam centres across various dates. According to the ICAI notification, the CA examination 2019 question papers in respect of the said papers will have two parts: Part I comprising MCQs to the tune of 30 marks (each carrying 1 to 2 marks) and Part II that consists descriptive type questions to the tune of 70 marks. ICAI further stated that the candidates would be required to write their answers in respect of Part I of the paper (i.e. MCQs) in the OMR answer sheet by darkening the appropriate circles with HB pencil and Paper II that will have the descriptive type questions in the descriptive type answer book in the normal course. Following Are the Exam Papers for ICAI CA Intermediate and Final New Exam Pattern
Students are barred from entering late on the examination hall. They are allowed to enter till 2:15 pm; i.e. upto half an hour from the time question papers are distributed. The rule applies to all the papers of the ICAI exams. The CA exams 2019 will conclude at 5:00 pm and no candidates will be allowed to leave the examination hall before 5:00 pm, even if they had completed the paper.
This year, the CA Foundation exam 2019 will be conducted on June 4, 7, 9 and 11. Intermediate (IPC) course examination will be held in two groups: IPC Group 1 scheduled on May 29, 30 and June 1 and June 3, 2019; IPC Group II examination will be conducted on June 6, 8 and 10, 2019. Besides, CA Intermediate course exam group I will be held on May 28, 30 and June 1 and 3 and Group II will be conducted on June 6, 8, 10 and 12. Again, the CA Final exam 2019 will be held on June 27, 29, 31 and May 2, 2019.
