The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) has initiated the online application procedures for the upcoming Common Proficiency Test (CPT). All the Chartered Accountant (CA) aspirants can visit the official website; icai.org to register for the CA CPT exam 2019 which will be conducted in June. Only after successful registration, students can begin filling the online CA CPT applications. It shall be noted that students who have created a login on the ICAI website after November 2016, do not need to register again. Before you start with the CPT applications, check the important dates decided by ICAI. ICAI will conduct the CA CPT exam 2019 on June 16, and the result of the same will tentatively be announced by mid-July. The CPT examination will be held in two sessions: morning and afternoon. CA CPT June Exam 2019: Important Dates

  • CA CPT online application: April 4, 2019, to April 24

  • Last date to apply for CA CPT applications without late fee: April 24 upto 11:59 pm

  • Last date to apply for CA CPT applications with late fee: May 2, upto 11:59 pm

  • Date of CA CPT exam: June 16, 2019

  • Hosting of correction window (without late fee) will be available for one week from the date of the same: 1st week of May, 2019

  • Hosting of correction window (with fee) will be available till June 7, 2019: The window will open in the final week of May and continue till June 7.

  • ICAI CA CPT exam: June 16, 2019

  • ICAI CA CPT exam result: Tentatively around mid-July, 2019

The ICAI CA CPT exam will comprise of four subjects-- fundamentals of accounting, mercantile laws, general economics and quantitative aptitude. Last year, the syllabus of CA accountancy subject was revised by ICAI and included topics such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the course. Those who will clear the CA CPT exam will be considered eligible and will appear next in the CA Intermediate examination.
