The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is yet to announce the preliminary exam results. According to the schedule, that IBPS was following until last year, it was predicted that the clerks’ prelims result to be declared on December 29, 2018. But there was no sign or any communication about the same by the official. While, on the other hand, the IBPS main recruitment exam for clerical posts is scheduled to be held on January 21, 2019. IBPS hosted the prelim recruitment exams on December 8, 9, 15 and 16 respectively. The examinations are conducted in different stages to fill in the vacancies of about 7,275 clerical posts throughout the country. For the financial year 2019-20, the vacancies are being filled through a standard recruitment process which includes an online preliminary exam and main examinations. Those who qualify the preliminary stage will next appear in the Mains examination slated to hold in January. IBPS main exam will have 190 questions of 200 marks, and the candidates will get 160 minutes to complete the paper. The students will have to answer questions from four different categories—Financial awareness, Reasoning and computer aptitude, quantitative aptitude and English. IBPS Mains 2019 will also be a computer-based examination.
