IAS Topper Ankur Garg Scores 171 / 170 in Harvard University Exam; Macroeconomist Jeffrey Frankel Validates Result

The stories of success can only amaze us. As we entered the New Year, an outstanding achievement of a student is going viral for his score of 171/ 170 in Harvard University Exam. Before we begin, let us confirm you that it was not any blooper. After graduating from IIT Delhi, Ankur Garg went on to become the youngest Indian Administrative Service IAS officer (2002 batch). Since then, there has been no looking back. Garg took to Facebook to share this exciting news. He wrote, “When I was in school, my father used to say - 10 out of 10 isn’t good enough in any exam. Always strive for 11 out of 10. I hardly understood how that’s done. In the last phase (possibly!) of student life now, I end up getting this score (171 out of 170) in the final exam of the macroeconomics course. The icing on the cake - it comes at Harvard and is signed by Jeffrey Frankel himself! This one is for you, dad.” Hoax Alert! Ankur Garg Scores 171/ 170 in the Final Exam of the Macroeconomics.

With the signature of renowned international macroeconomist, Jeffrey Frankel who is also a professor at the Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Garg’s happiness is on cloud nine. The man surely has a magic formula up his sleeves!

Being an IIT Delhi graduate, Garg had only dreamed of becoming an IAS officer. He told the Press Reader that ever since he was in the third standard, he had been contemplating no career option other than the Civil Services. Garg is pursuing a two-year master’s programme on Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University. Better India reported that Garg has initiated to start a campaign against open defecation as a civil servant and is even taking steps to ensure that the government does not deter the same, propagated by the IAS officers.
