HPBOSE prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and textbooks in the Himachal Pradesh schools. More than 8,000 schools are affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh board. Last year, HPBOSE announced the class 12 board exam results on April 24 and the overall pass percentage was 86 per cent. Out of 98,281 students who appeared in the board exam 2018, about 68,469 successfully qualified for higher studies.
