Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2018: How to Check GATE 2018 Answer Keys and Download Timetable Online From gate.iitg.ac.in

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) was held across the country on 3rd and 4th February 2018. This year, the examination was conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati for Mechanical Engineering as one of the major discipline. Just like last year, the coveted exam was held in two slots that consisted of questions on technical stream wise concepts, engineering math and general aptitude.

GATE 2018 answer keys will be released once the exams are over. Students are recommended to keep an eye on gate.iitg.ac.in to stay updated as the detailed information is expected to be provided soon. Candidates will have to log in to their account to check the answer keys. Many aspirants appeared for the exam across various centres and they were expected to complete attempting the paper in a total time of 180 minutes.

How to check GATE 2018 Answer Key?

1. Visit the official website iitg.ac.in.

2. Log in with your credentials.

3. Enter the essential information such as Enrollment ID, Email address, etc.

4. Click submit.

5. Pay the required amount to check the answer keys.

It has been reported that this year, the examination was slightly tricky as there were more Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The paper was of conceptual understanding than being direct formula based. The exam interface was similar to that of GATE 2017. The Virtual Calculator was already uploaded at the GATE’s official website for students to practice. Candidates who had adequate practice, were on a slight advantage.

On the basis of the score achieved in this highly competitive exam, students will be eligible to pursue Post Graduate (PG) courses in Engineering. In fact, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like Indian Oil Corporation has recently announced vacancy stating that those will be filled considering on GATE 2018 scores.
