Mumbai, August 24: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced a postponement in the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Originally scheduled to begin on August 24, the registration will now commence on August 28, 2024. Candidates can apply through the official GATE website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

According to the revised schedule, the regular online registration without a late fee will close on September 26, 2024. How to Apply for GATE 2025

  • Visit the official website of IIT GATE at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

  • Click on the "GATE 2025 Registration" link available on the home page.

  • Enter the registration details and click on submit.

  • Fill out the application form and make the payment of a fee.

  • Click on submit and download the confirmation page.

  • Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

GATE 2025 Exam Dates Remain Unchanged

The GATE 2025 examination dates remain unchanged and will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, in two sessions each day – forenoon and afternoon. Candidates are permitted to appear for one or two test papers, with combinations chosen from a list available on the official website. The application fee is set at INR 900 for Female, SC, ST, and PwD category candidates during the regular period, and INR 1400 during the extended period. For other candidates, the fee is INR 1800 for the regular period and INR 2300 for the extended period.
