GATE 2020 to Be Conducted by IIT Delhi; Check Important Dates & Timetable of the Engineering Entrance Exam Online at gate.iitd.ac.in

The schedule for 2020 GATE has been released and for the next batch, IIT Delhi will conduct the exam. The applications for GATE 2020 will start from September 3, 2019 and the entrance test will be held in February.

The schedule for 2020 Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has been released and for the next batch, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will conduct the entrance exam. Aspirants can check the complete GATE 2020 schedule online by visiting the official website; gate.iitd.ac.in. Besides, for the convenience of the students, we have also provided IIT Delhi GATE 2020 timetable, below in this article. GATE 2020 entrance exam will be conducted for 25 subjects at various cities across India, including six cities outside the country. The entrance examination is held as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for candidates to study various undergraduate subjects in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and post-graduate level in Science.

IIT GATE 2020: Important Dates

  • GATE online applications: September 3 to September 24, 2019
  • Extending closing date for submission of applications: October 1, 2019
  • Last date for requesting a change of exam city: November 15, 2019
  • Available of admit card: January 3, 2020
  • GATE 2020 Exam: February 1, 2, 8 and 9 in two shifts
  • GATE 2020 Result: March 16, 2020

GATE is an entrance test conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven IITs; Delhi, Bombay, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Qualifying GATE is mandatory to get admission to masters and direct doctoral programs in engineering, technology, architecture and doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science at the institutes supported by the MHRD and other Government agencies.
