The Engineering aspirants must note that today is the last day to apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019. Those who are yet to complete their registrations can visit the official website gate.iitm.ac.in and finish the procedure soon. However, the extended submit of applications along with late fee if applied after September 21, is October 1, 2018. This time, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras will conduct the coveted entrance exam in two shifts. The tentative exam dates for GATE 2019 are February 2, 3, 9 and 10. 

IIT Madras has released the detailed eligibility criteria, application procedure and exam dates in August on GATE 2019 Information Brochure. In case if anyone wants to change their examination city, can rightfully do that by putting forward the request on or before November 16. The application fee for students under the general and OBC category is Rs. 1,500 and for SC/ST/PWD and women candidates, it is Rs. 750. However, the late fee is increased to Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 1,250 respectively for both the categories. To avoid the last-minute hurry, the candidates shall quickly finish their registrations.

GATE is conducted by IITs across the nation, and for 2019, IIT Madras will host the entrance exam for candidates seeking admissions to various engineering, architecture, technology and science masters and Doctoral programmes. The test will be conducted on 24 subjects, and the candidates can appear in any one subject. GATE 2019 will involve multiple choice questions and a few questions where candidates need to put numerical answers within 3 hours of the computer-based online test. The admit card for the exam is expected to be released from January 4, 2019.
