GATE 2019 Exam Applications: Online Window to Correct Forms Will Close Today; Apply Soon at gate.iitm.ac.in

Only the aspirants who will rectify the errors before the last date will be issued the GATE 2019 admit card to be issued from January 4 onwards.

The candidates for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) must be alert as the online application correction forms window will close today, October 25. Those who have applied and found any defects in the forms are advised to attend the same as soon as possible on the official website; gate.iitm.ac.in. GATE 2019 correction process in the applications began on September 27. It must be noted that the aspirants who will rectify the errors before the last date will be issued the GATE 2019 admit card to be issued from January 4 onwards. The online application process for the exam began from September 1 and continued till September 21. 

This year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will conduct the coveted entrance exams for engineering courses in two shifts. The notification regarding the registrations on the website clearly reads, “Applications of those candidates, who do not attend the defect by 25th October 2018 will not be considered for GATE 2019 examination.” Hence, GATE 2019 aspirants are requested to make sure that all the details entered by them, even after the correction is accurate. Apart from the official website; the GATE application correction portal is appsgate.iitm.ac.in. However, the candidates are allowed to change their exam city till November 16, 2018, paying an additional fee.

According to the timetable, GATE 2019 will be held on February 2, 3, 9 and 10. The entrance exam will be conducted for 24 subjects with a new additional paper of Statistics. Apart from other documents, it is mandatory for the candidates to carry their admit card; otherwise, they will not be allowed to appear in the exam. GATE 2019 will be conducted in online mode only and across various exam centres across India where lakhs of students participate in each year.
