The Delhi University is yet to begin the registration process for the upcoming admission procedure to various undergraduate courses. According to official reports, DU has not finalised the agency that will be conducting the varsity’s entrance examinations, due to which the admission process is being delayed. Hence, the DU admission 2019 process, which were to start today, May 27, has been postponed with no confirmation on the same. All the Delhi University aspirants are advised to keep a constant check on the official website; du.ac.in. It’s Confirmed! In 2018, the admission process started from May 15. Following the pattern, the registration process for DU admission 2019 was expected to begin from May 20. The standing committee later recommended May 27 to begin with the admission process for 2019. DU Dean, Rajeev Gupta, was quoted in media reports, as saying, “The portal is the same for merit-based courses and entrance exam based courses. The admission process will start once the dates are finalised. We are yet to finalise the agency that will be conducting the entrance exams.” There are also reports stating technical glitches during the testing process of the server, which is another cause behind the delay.

One of the DU officials, further added that the standing committee has advised to join hands with e-wallets and other payment gateways so that the students can pay the application fees easily. It is important to note that the standing committee recommendations are yet to be approved by the admissions committee, only after which the registration process for DU admissions 2019 will be decided.
