DU Admissions 2019: Delhi University to Introduce 30 New Courses From Academic Year 2019–20; Here’s the List

It has further been reported that ten new vocational courses will be launched for students who seek to take admission in the part-time certificate courses.

The Delhi University (DU) is all set to welcome the new batch of 2019-20. Soon after the completion of the board and those of graduation examinations, the University will begin their admission process to various undergraduate and postgraduate level. According to the recent media reports, DU will introduce 30 new courses for both UG and PG. It has further been reported that ten new vocational courses will be launched for students who seek to take admission in the part-time certificate courses. Besides, a total of 282 seats will be increased in the existing courses. Delhi University UG Admissions 2019–20: No Entrance Test for DU Aspirants, Cut Offs to Remain; Confirms Javadekar. 

About 80 seats were added to the Bachelor of Arts programme at Hans Raj College, 25 more seats to the Bachelor of Commerce courses and 47 seats to the Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) in Aditi Mahavidyalaya and 50 seats were increased at the Maharishi Valmiki College.

According to its press release, the committee has also advised introducing Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses in Dravyaguna (ayurvedic pharmacology) and Panchkarma in Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College in which five and three seats will be added per year. The regulatory authority will take the final decision. To implement the new courses successfully, the Academic Council has written a letter to the University of Grants Commission (UGC), Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry, and the vice chancellor of Delhi University, requesting additional funds and about 3,000 new teachers for the varsity.
